Kelda Garthr is a nicely appointed holiday house with magnificent views across the dale (valley), even better in the sunshine! There is a castle (English Heritage) well worth a visit in this little town of Middleham (not a village as we were reminded by some of the locals!). The lady in the Castle was very helpful and informative. We dined in the White Swan a couple of times and the service and food was good. Some lovely birds visited the gardens whilst we were there, and lovely watching the parents feeding, and to top it all there’s a book there so you can check what they were. It’s a good base to visit the various attractions in the area. Highly recommended.
We (3 adults) greatly enjoyed our week staying at this property. There are wonderful views from the conservatory, the house is warm and comfortable, and includes all the equipment we needed. We enjoyed walking and exploring the area - the highlight being watching red squirrels.
Kelda Garthr is a most delightful cottage, extremely well equipped and set within easy reach of Middleham Village. The cottage has the most wonderful views from the back garden over fields to the river. The village has four lovely pubs serving good food. We found everyone so friendly and would thoroughly recommend..
