Stonecroft Cottage

Description

This 18th century cottage with off street parking and west and south facing garden to sit out in is our personal holiday cottage. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard. We have just replaced all the windows and stable door with double glassed uPVC units, it has gas central heating with instant hot water and a smoke detector. All the furniture in the cottage is pine and the vast majority is new with a few older pieces. The cottage is a no smoking property.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and hand blender. You will also find an iron and ironing board within the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with a Aynsley dinner service and ample pans and cooking utensils. There are plenty shelves to store your provisions on.

The dining room has a dining table that seats four and a dresser that contains a range of glasses and serving dishes. There is also a bookcase where you will find information about the cottage and the Pickering area and places of interest to visit around North Yorkshire. The central heating thermostat is in the dining room. Situated under the stairs is a WC and cloakroom where you will find space to hang coats and store your walking boots.

The lounge has an open fire, a 32” TV with built in DVD player. There is a CD player with iPhone and iPod docking facilities. A comfy 2 seater settee is already there and 2 leather easy chairs which will be delivered in August 2011.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 with coordinating Sanderson bedding and curtains in a traditional country cottage design has a double bed and built in wardrobes. There is ample drawer space in the bedside tables, chest of drawers and dressing table. A hairdryer is provided for your use.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds with coordinating Bedeck bedding and curtains and a wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedside lights are provide in both bedrooms

The newly fitted out bathroom has toilet, basin and a bath with a shower over it and towel rail.

We provide all bedding, one Christy hand and bath towel per person, kitchen hand towel and 2 tea towels, dishcloth, oven gloves and cloakroom hand towel.

The garden shed has chairs and a table for you to use in the garden. There is also a washing line and pegs. The shed is lockable and room to store bicycles but these are stored at your own risk and we are not responsible for anything left in the garden shed during your stay.

We allow two well behaved dogs but would ask that you do not allow them to go on any of the furniture or beds and that you provide your own blankets and bedding for them. In Wrelton we are provided with numerous dog waste bins and would very much appreciate it if you would clean up after your dogs in our garden.
