Wonderful historic building in the middle of the village – Booked 2 rooms, a double and single...both at the back of the property, so were very quiet... having said that, the village is quite sleepy, so not much noise at all anywhere...the weclome and check-in was flawless! Although the decor could do with an update, it kind of adds to the comfort and credibility of the building. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable and had everything you need. Cannot flaw the kindness of the hosts and staff. Breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and tasty. Would recommend and visit again without question!
The Wensleydale Hotel is by far one of the finest establishments that myself and my partner Lou have stayed in. From first arriving we both received a level of attentiveness and professionalism that would put any 5 star hotel to shame. The overall experience afforded by Fiona and Monty was second to none, our bedroom, (a double superior with castle view), was clean, comfortable and very characterful. The food (served in the Tack Room) was one of the highlights of our stay and the kitchen staff are to be wholly congratulated on the outstanding quality of the cuisine which was locally sourced and fresh. From this experience we will be returning for a longer stay and will be very much looking forward to catching up with Fiona and the team once again.
What a lovely hotel. We ate here during our stay in middleham and the food was absolutely stunning. The staff were so so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
Booked a family dinner here, which included 2 people with Allium Intolerance - the hosts were kind enough to plan and print a whole menu of choices, which was wonderful! Even better was the gorgeous food, relaxed atmosphere and warm service. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and hope to visit again when in the area.
First ever visit to the hotel,we found the hotel while looking for somewhere to eat close to where we was staying on our weekend away. The staff was very friendly,caring and couldn't do enough to help. The food very well presented and the flavours absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this place if anyone is around
