If I could give zero stars, I would. The service I received was absolutely unacceptable. I attempted to return a faulty watch, and instead of being assisted professionally, I was treated with complete disregard. The staff member at the till didn’t ask why I wanted to return the item — despite later claiming she had. I was waiting to be asked about the issue, but she didn’t inquire or engage in any meaningful way. She simply walked off to speak with the manager, Dan, and returned to tell me I couldn’t return it because it had “been set.” Dan then reiterated that the item was non-returnable and implied that I was lying about the watch being faulty. He tried to gaslight me by claiming their watches come with pins in — which is not true. This was the second identical watch I’ve purchased from Argos, and neither came with pins already inserted. The watch is clearly faulty — one of the dials doesn’t set correctly, nor does the date set correctly and it even appears to have had links removed. When I tried to explain this to Dan, instead of acknowledging the issue or offering a solution, he spoke to me condescendingly and even tried to explain how to tell the time — as if I didn’t know. Completely insulting. By law, I am entitled to a refund for faulty goods. Yet the staff at this Argos seem to believe they’re above both their own policies and consumer rights legislation. There was no apology, no ownership of the issue, and no resolution offered — only gaslighting and deflection. A formal complaint will be made. I strongly advise others not to shop here, as they clearly do not value customer service, legal obligations, or basic decency.

Rude arrogant and generally useless , the younger staff in here need to learn some manners

this place has bad customer care. i bought a refrigerator. and they told me 3 times to deliver. but they came and went. and there was a staff i called them. they made an appointment this time to the customer. they did not take good care of the customer

Had a watch go breasts up on me 2 weeks short of a year, contacted Garmin who said it was goosed. Took it back to Argos with box & receipt & was expecting some sort of issue, but not at all, totally opposite. Watch was refunded in full with no quibble and I even decided to buy a more expensive watch there and then.

We had order some goods, got a text to say it was ready to pick up, popped over, gave them the code. They got us the goods. Fastest service we have ever had. Staff, polite and friendly, couldn't have been more helpful.
