Welcome to Yorkshire

•Let's be honest, life can feel a bit bonkers sometimes. You switch on the news, scroll through your phone, and it feels like the world has gone completely potty. Ever have one of those days where you just wish you could pack a few of the people in charge onto a rocket and send them on a one-way trip to space? Well, you're not alone. It seems comedian Andy Parsons feels exactly the same way, and he’s made a whole new comedy show about it.
After a completely sold-out tour in 2023 and another smash-hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the man you know and love from Mock The Week is hitting the road again with his brand-new UK tour for 2025-26. The show is called Please #@!$ Off To Mars, and it’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house, have a proper laugh, and forget about the madness for a couple of hours. This is the kind of topical comedy that makes you nod along while you’re crying with laughter.

So, who’s getting a one-way ticket?
You can probably guess a few of the names on Andy's passenger list. The main idea is a simple plea: can Elon Musk please, for the love of all that is holy, just take his rockets and go? He could set up his own little colony on Mars with his robot pals and his uniquely named children. Sounds fair enough, right?
But why stop there? Andy reckons he could take a few mates with him. Imagine it: a Martian community featuring not just Musk, but also Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump, Rachel Reeves and, of course, Nigel Farage. Think of it as the ultimate reality TV show, just broadcast from another planet. Andy’s show dives headfirst into the state of the world in 2025, tackling the big names and even bigger headlines with his signature sharp wit. The show Please #@!$ Off To Mars is the satirical send-off we all need.
Who is this Andy Parsons bloke, anyway?
If you've switched on a TV in the last 20 years, you’ve probably seen Andy’s face. He’s that clever-looking chap who was a regular panellist on the brilliant Mock The Week, where he'd fire off jokes about the week's news faster than most of us can read it. He’s also popped up on pretty much every other comedy show, including the legendary Live at the Apollo, Saturday Live, and The Comedy Store.
But he's been at this for ages. He actually started his career writing for the iconic puppet show Spitting Image and a Radio 4 programme called Weekending. So, he’s been making fun of politicians since before some of us were born. He even had his own Radio 2 series for six years. It’s no surprise he’s a multi-award winner, having picked up a Time Out Comedy Award and trophies from the New Zealand International Comedy Award and the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. This man knows how to write a joke.
Not his first rodeo (or comedy special)
This tour is the latest in a long line of sell-out shows. Andy Parsons has toured the UK more times than you’ve had hot dinners, playing to packed theatres everywhere. He’s also a bit of a pro when it comes to comedy specials. You might have seen his stuff on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or BBC iPlayer. He’s got five specials under his belt with brilliant names:
- Bafflingly Optimistic
- Britain's Got Idiots
- Gruntled
- Slacktivist
- Live & Unleashed
And if that’s not enough, he’s got another stand-up special coming out on NextUp in 2025. The man is busy. His last show at the Edinburgh Fringe was completely sold out, so if you want to catch Please #@!$ Off To Mars, you’ll want to be quick about it.
Don't just take my word for it
The critics are all in agreement. This is top-tier comedy. The papers have been raving about him for years, and it’s easy to see why. When it comes to sharp, funny commentary on the world, he’s one of the best in the business.
“Hysterical. Andy Parsons is on fire” – The Mirror
“Very funny” – The Times
“Laugh Out Loud Funny” – Sunday Telegraph
"It's great to welcome sharp, topical comedy and Parsons remains one of its most skilful exponents" – The Guardian
“Potato-headed” – Evening Standard
Okay, that last one from the Evening Standard is a bit cheeky, but it’s still a memorable review! Being a multi-award winner from events like the Montreal Comedy Festival isn't just luck; it's a sign of real talent.
Right, when and where can I see this tour?
