A walk down the Calder to the old newlands park. This place isn't a tourist attraction its a tumbled down old mill and a walk down the tow path of the aire and Calder navigation and the river Calder. Don't go out of your way to visit. It's close enough to the landfill site to smell and to be a favourite haunt for flies and mozzies and old plastic bottles.

I went here to fly a drone. Footage can be found on YouTube. Search for DJI Phantom 3 Pro UK. The place is derelict but quite interesting. I'm not sure how long it will be there as it's falling down.

Interesting place to walk around. Not overly suitable for young children. If in car park on newland road just before bridge over train tracks then walk along old road past gate.

Very close to a popular clay pigeon shooting area as the sound of gunfire and smell of cordite filled the air today. The derelict remains of Newland Hall are the only worthwhile reason to stroll off the beaten path here.
