Porch House Guest Accomodation

First class from start to finish. A refreshing breath of fresh air in this age of Premier Inns. The entire house was immaculate and just a joy to visit. So much character and you can see they've spent a lot of time and effort ensuring the decor throughout is perfectly in line with the building. Exception service throughout, breakfast was delicious. Very good coffee too! Very comfy big bed. Really can't fault this place. Would happily visit again and given the price it's exceptional value for money too. As you can see we really enjoyed our stay! Lovely room, lovely breakfast, lovely hosts.❤️💜🩷 The only thing to mention is I could hear noise like people talking and TV noise from my room (likely from neighbours) probably because of the thin walls or lack of soundproofing? Otherwise it's perfect, it has everything I need; and things I don't even expect like room slippers (which is super handy as I forgot to bring mine) And I LOVE THE PILLOWS and comfortable bed :') Photo attached is their lounge area full of character 🎀

We were welcomed to this fabulous historic house when we arrived with a lovely seat in the beautifully tended garden to have afternoon tea and delicious cake. The view of the house from the garden is a delight with Northallerton’s church tower peeking over the roofline. The room was of an excellent standard with lots of space around a comfortable bed. There is a well appointed and again spacious en suite. The large window overlooks the garden. There was a lovely bowl of fruit supplied - plus tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast is like the rest of the service here, that is to say excellent. Many ingredients are locally sourced. We had a lovely chat with the owners who not only shared details of the historic parts of the house but also some of their own history., which is, that they were once successful restaurant owners demonstrated through there exceptional hospitality. Stay here when in Northallerton, I’m sure we will again.

All round fantastic historic hotel with wonderful hosts. Perfect location too. Ticked every box for our little stay with friends in the lovely market town of Northallerton. Will most definately re visit this charming hotel! 💕

Great stay at Porch House when visiting Northallerton for work. Room was pristine and with a lovely bed and view of the garden. The shower was exceptional. Very thoughtful touches with fresh milk, fruit and chocolates too. The breakfast was varied and delicious with a wonderful selection of fruit on top of the cooked and cereal options. Will stay there again on my next trip. Conveniently located to walk to all the food and drink options on and around the high street.
