We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and obliging. Special thanks to Helen and Chris and and a big thank you to Leanne who went above and beyond to help resolve a problem in our room. 6 stars to her. The breakfasts were substantial and tasty. The evening meals could do with a bit of revamp but on the whole were acceptable.
I was in a meeting in one of the upper rooms. Which was clean and tidy. But my daughter and husband were downstairs and had lunch there and spoke very highly of the staff and food
Cozy rooms. Service was amazing, and there’s a lovely view to the front of the place. It’s not the highest society spot, but it’s cozy. Breakfast was alright, there’s a good few options. The menu doesn’t seem to be specific, and is more guidance. They’re happy to go out of their way to make you more comfortable. That’s what you really want to look for.
Called in on a Monday night with the family for tea. Friendly and attentive staff, fantastic and well priced food. Would definitely recommend!
We ate twice here while staying just down the road. We were delighted to find a vegan menu. We also appreciated the meals at £10 on Monday to Wednesday. The food was delicious, especially the spinach and mushroom Wellington, and the sticky toffee pud was amazing! The service was friendly and efficient, and the background music was pleasant and not too loud. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals at the Village Inn.
