Although we didn’t purchase on our visit, the owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, even opening his shop especially for us so we could view a vehicle in his own time. There was no pressure at all, just honest advice and a genuine willingness to help. Based on the level of customer service alone, I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.

My partner was sold a car by this business, with a warranty which at first seemed normal since most dealerships/shops will provide a small warranty in case of problems, upon viewing day, we were informed it had already received a stage 1 mapping, and the guys at horbury auto had told us it was well taken care of and they did all their checks, but since the day we had it, it has been nothing but problem after problem, first being the drive shaft after 2 months, then the throttle body housing was fluctuating sometimes responsive other times not, after fixing all mechanical faults, ecu and dpf began to cause major issues after a lot of guess work and expensive mechanic call-outs and breakdowns, final fix and diagnosis came down to a damaged/faulty wiring loom and missing sensors and components, we’ve had this car a year and it’s been the worst car we have had to deal with. In the end we rang BMW and ran them through the journey as the car was also in a constant state of limp mode for 4 months- turns out whoever tuned the car, had deleted about a 1/3 of the cars components. Between missing/removed parts, dpf issues, constant breakdowns, multiple mechanic call-outs outs, a failing ecu, this has been the most expensive and complicated car we’d ever owned, we should’ve kept the Audi A1 we traded in

Bought a cheap tidy car from Horbury Autos May 24. Owen was lovely to deal with, really knows his stuff and very honest. The car has been great and hasn't given me any trouble and has just flown through it's MOT with an advisories of the back tyres! So happy and cannot recommend this garage enough... Thanks Owen

Recently viewed and test drove a car that was advertised to have had the cambelt and water pump replaced, with a receipt to back up that claim. Having test drove what was otherwise was a very nice car we found that the only evidence of a cambelt change was a stamp and tick in the cars service book that was done in 2017, making the cambelt 3 years overdue. When we asked the seller about this he said the previous seller assured him it had recently been done and they seemed nice and trustworthy, but he couldn't provide any sort of evidence. There was also not a single receipt for any other works to the vehicle, just stamps in the book. Car was also advertised to have 12 month warranty but it turns out this is an extra optional purchase. The whole time he did the usual car salesmen tactic of telling us that someone is already on their way to view it and he's already knocked off a couple hundred pounds since he got the car. It's unfortunate I have to leave this review because most of the cars he had seemed tidy and well presented. However the reasonably priced well looked after car on offer suddenly seemed to come with much more risk due to unbacked up claims of expensive and important maintenance being carried out, and his dismissive attitude of this issue just make him seem untrustworthy.
