Palmer & Duncan Veterinary Surgeons

I left a review last year but for some reason google never published it 💁‍♂️. I came to palmer and Duncan as I felt let down by the previous vets Rocky was having problems for months with nothing seeming to help, on our first appointment at palmer the vet prescribed rocky some medication and his symptoms started to get better I feel like he suffered for months before we came here. We brought our second dog in today for the first time and again felt very at ease and left with a plan in place of what the next steps are. This practice is amazing the vets and the reception team. by far the best vets in wakefield. Thank you for all that you do I can't recommend this place enough.

Changed to this practice due to the good reviews after we lost our 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier and wanted a fresh start with our new dog. Always had great care and felt much more confident with them than our last vet practice. Everyone is friendly the Vets, Vet Nurses and Reception staff. Returned with Barney yesterday for his booster jabs. Despite the building work they have put an excellent process in place which made it clear what to do before we arrived. A quick call to reception once we arrived and we sat in our car until the vet came to collect us. Apparently the work will be finished in a couple of weeks. Barney's booster went without a hitch a thorough check before and all was fine. Brilliant practice, friendly caring what more could you want 😀

Highly recommend!! My dog had issues with vets until coming here. Their patience and understanding has been second to none! Thank you Alison (massive time and input given) and Eleanor (a lot of understanding and patience too) especially! She’s finally vaccinated and happy with vet visits! I was extremely impressed with the professionalism at Palmer And Duncan! Firstly to have so much off-road parking is a real asset, but then to have a large area reception area where animals on on top of each other all the time, is fantastic. The lady that we saw treated my dogs with care and kindness and was a realist who for the first time ever recognised one of my dogs is solid muscle and not a fat potato requiring a diet!

Brilliant Vet, always friendly and welcoming. Every vet I’ve seen here has always been professional and knowledgeable. Really seem to care about your pets.
