The best market around, plenty of stalls, I'm a frequent visitor to the fruit and veg stalls and plant stalls. Not many markets left these days

Since wakey market, went all them years ago, my favourite one is ossett, lovely people, great produce, easy on the wallet & a nice day out.

Don't miss out on this splendid and well stocked market. I was amazed by the large variety of stalls, and the vast number of plots. We arrived in the afternoon on a day that had been both rainy and cold, and expected the worst. What a pleasant surprise. There were still dozens of retailers and customers. We parked very nearby, 60p for 2 hours. The stalls were so different from each other. We bought chocolates, sausages, gammon, five sirloin steaks, vegetables, socks and a scarf. We then visited the indoor market (in the town hall building overlooking the marketplace) and bought several books. We spent less than £30. There are other shops etc overlooking the marketplace. Take your time and explore.

Fantastic cheese stall on Friday market. Lots of other great stalls and bargains to be had. Shopped there for over 45 years.
