Jo is an absolutely fantastic Pilates teacher both in group classes and 1 to 1. She has really helped me build strength, flexibility and fitness. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. She has worked with me for 5 years now and helped me through pregnancy, regaining strength afterwards and most recently through a back injury. Now onwards and upwards towards the Great North Run. Jo takes great care in listening and targeting the exercises towards the goals you are aiming for.
I’ve been seeing Joanna on one to one basis for Pilates for the last seven months after two back operations that left me unable to do many of things I enjoyed, such as walking and gardening. Thanks to Joanna’s patience, encouragement and expertise I am significantly improved. She is careful and persistent in achieving results and very adaptable to individual needs. I am 77 and this is my first experience of Pilates and I can recommend Joanna unreservedly.
After suffering with a herniated disc for over a year, I wanted to start to exercise and gain strength again. Jo was the perfect teacher, her patience and knowledge helped me move forwards and gain flexibility and strength and I finally feel that I am almost back to where I was before the injury. She also runs a Yin Yoga class that is superb. I strongly recommend her
Jo has totally transformed my body and my relationship with food. Sessions are hard (if you want them to be!) and she will push you but imaginative and Jo guides you to ensure that you are doing exercises correctly and with correct form. Jo obviously cares about her clients and has invested a huge amount of time into my wellbeing - we have recommended her to lots of family and friends nearby. A huge benefit is Jo’s ability to teach yoga as well as strength- this means she understands your body and can help you in all fitness aspects. I throughly recommend Jo
I started Yin Yoga with Jo in the last year and I absolutely love it. Jo is very knowledgeable of her subject and has a very calming approach helping each individual adapt to suit their needs and their body, whilst encouraging you to develop week on week. Anyone unsure of whether they would like it or not, give it a go, it is definitely “me time”.
