We’ve just returned from a two-night camp at this campsite. Not only is it well-located, it’s a small, intimate campsite perfect for a family holiday. We are a family of 5; 2 adults, a 14 year old, a 9 year old and a 5 year old. Every single one of us loved the site and we thought the animals were a lovely addition to our stay (even if the goats did steal our bread buns! 😂). The owners are lovely and helpful and the amenities are very good; good showers, shared fridges, a vending machine, microwave, pot wash etc. We took a 5m bell tent and there was plenty of room, no one was squashed in beside one another- pitches nicely spaced. The fire pit rental is such a bonus; we loved doing s’mores, telling stories and playing charades around the fire. It’s all easy to book and pay for and the owners are quick in getting anything you need. The secure gate is also a nice addition as it makes it feel even safer. It’s a little gem of a campsite! We will be returning!
Brigham Park Farm is a small campsite, which we found to have great access to the local area. The owner, Jack, was lovely, and could often be seen doing jobs around the site. Unfortunately, as a couple who enjoy a quiet camping experience, this was not the campsite for us. This site clearly caters more towards large groups and families. We were allocated a pitch close to a group of 3 large family sized tents, with a big group of adults and kids. When we returned to our tent after our first day out, we found that another family had joined them, and another group of 4 family sized tents had been pitched right next to us. There was a large amount of children constantly running around our tent whilst we were trying to eat our dinner and relax. The site also appears to have no curfew, and we were kept up by these groups shouting and laughing past midnight every night. We like to enjoy peace and nature, and go to bed at a reasonable time whilst camping so we can make the most of the next day, but unfortunately this just wasn't possible. Also to note that the facilities are quite small compared to other sites we have been on, my partner is not a small man and struggled with the space in the toilet/shower blocks! There is also very little/no drainage in the field, meaning that it was rather wet following rain the previous week. Overall, I think this could be a great campsite for large groups and families with children who want to be able to make some noise, but unfortunately didn't suit our needs, and may not suit the needs of others looking for a quiet break.
Disappointed with this site, drainage so bad that we could not take car onto camp area, 2 wheelbarrows were available to carry your camp gear in. (Owner says this is to be sorted). Signs up ‘dogs to be on a lead’, dogs were running all over the site. Not very safe if you had young children, or feel wary of strange dogs. The dwarf goats are cute, (shame that they poo all over). Noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm, there was a group of 6 young lads, still chatting and drinking at 3 am, on both nights. Didn’t think sites allowed, large groups of same gender, for that reason. Also had loud music from somewhere outside the site (Not the owners fault) but it was annoying. The shower cubicles are really small, a struggle if your not petite. The owners are lovely, have plenty of plans for the place. I’m sure they will make it a lovely site in time. At present I think they need to be strict about dogs on leads, not allow large groups of same gender, solely for the noise factor.
Had an amazing time, staff are super helpful and friendly, the area is very family friendly and safe for the kids to play around. It was my daughter's first camping trip and she absolutely loved it, she made tons of friends and loved feeding pickle and pumpkin the goats, we are definitely coming back and hopefully soon. Would recommend to anyone.
Absolute unreal camp site, beautiful well looked after, well maintained, very secure small site....you can see alot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into this place from the owners...you see him at the crack of dawn maintaining the grounds, cleaning the toilet block and feeding the animals. My kids had a ball of a time they didn't want to leave, we've just booked to come back next month. Owners should be very proud 👏 .
