This is a great pub to go for a drink and a chit chat with your friends, I have been here many times the food was amazing and then they changed the menu and the food was not as nice but still alright but today I went for food and it was awful wasn't hot tasteless and the sausages on my wife bangers and mash look frozen still and smelt and tasted old. I dont know if they've changed the chief or if the chief has lost passion but I definitely do not reccomend the food!!!
Called into this Charming Watering Hole as a cold weary Traveler waiting for the delayed X46 bus to Dunswell Village. Had a couple of Excellent pints of Guinness , served by the delectable Emily, very friendly atmosphere will certainly be calling in again. Sláinte ☘️
Went in on a Sunday evening to watch a football game which started at 17.30 and grab some food. We sat down got a drink each and browsed the menu, only then one of the bar staff stated to collect menus of other tables so I asked if they were still serving food only to be told they had just closed the kitchen. Don't know about anyone else but why would u shut the kitchen at tea time when u have people in watching the football, very odd but the pub was pleasant enough so if u just want a drink it's OK but if you want your tea there then go at dinner time
The Black Bull is a nice traditional pub. There is a good selection of beers, lager and cider, including two cask conditioned hand pulled, real ales farmers blonde and doom bar. There are three rooms and an outside seating area at the back. The beer was excellent, and the food menu looked very tempting, although we didn't try the food on our visit. It's a dog friendly pub.
Very friendly place with great staff. Not the greatest selection of drinks but it's a great place for a pint or 2. Dog friendly as well and does a great pub quiz on a Wednesday. Lorraine is lovely.
