We both went to this place for dinner today and the experience was fantastic. The ambience was warm and welcoming. The staff were caring and curated the menu as per our taste. The food was delicious and the portion size was enormous. We ended up ordering for more and happily packed the leftover. It was an awesome experience, will surely recommended it !! Thank you Bengal Lounge!

We ordered a meal at 5pm on New Years Eve and paid for delivery which was scheduled at 6.30pm. Payment was taken. I received a missed call although no message was left. Called back with no answer. We waited until 6.50 understanding the evening may be busy before called the restaurant. We were informed delivery couldn’t be made as there were no drivers and had to collect ourselves. The restaurant advised they had rang although no message was left and no one answered when ringing back. The food was cold on collection. No previous concern although this experience was disappointing. Despite leaving several messages we have not received a refund for delivery charge.
We were staying in a lodge at Alerthorpe and wanted a treat for our last night. We checked by phone that we could order to the lodge and then ordered through their website. All our food arrived hot and fresh. We had a request for plenty of extra sauces, particularly the mint sauce to go with our poppadoms as we all absolutely love it from their other restaurant in York and they didn't disappoint in sending them. My chicken tikka madras was really flavourful and spicy, the tikka masala was beautiful and the mushroom rice was some of the best rice iv ever had from a takeaway. Its so refreshing to see consistency in quality from here and their other site. Will definitely be ordering again next time we stay in a lodge!
Dined in and the food was delicious. The service was excellent. I love the lime pickle purée with the pickles tray. Definitely go there again when in town
