Eaten here a few times as the food is excellent. Called in yesterday for just a light lunch, sharing chips and a sausage with my wife..... large portion hence sharing! Coffee and a tea at extremely good prices. Service was excellent as usual with friendly owner. Certainly recommend eating here or takeaway out.
Just had a lovely welcome at this venue very friendly. Even able to sit inside to eat, the quality and size of the small fish meal for me and husband was just right. We will be back on route to York again from our home in North Lincolnshire
Food cooked to order was amazing, staff are so friendly and service to the table is the finest. We certainly recommend this homely setting and great fish and chips. We'll be back soon....x
Was visiting a local glamping site and popped into Pocklington for a day out. We saw this Fish and Chip shop while passing and headed in. Oh my days it was perfection wrapped up in paper . The chips were done beautifully enjoying every single chip. The cod was crispy , fresh and not too greasy . They offered indoor seating and takeaway and Fizzy Cans of pop and had an almost infinite amount of awards. This is a definite recommendation.
I'm visiting friends in York (I'm from London)and for a treat on Friday we decided to have fish and chips.. we have had fish and chips from here before.whwn we got to the shop at Friday lunch time (05/01/24) the gentleman behind the counter informed us that our order would be about 10 minutes as he had just taken a big order ( about 15 orders for a company) that was fine.. there are chairs to sit on while you wait. Once our order was ready he let ups know .this chip shop also offers a dining in option. The fish and chips are a good size..I always end up halfing my portion and having fish and chips for lunch and dinner ...a good fish and chip restaurant
