Customer service is not just about smiling while you take customers money. Bad experience when I took my car for a MOT with this garage. It strangely failed on a part I had replaced on the vehicle brand new a few weeks before. It was a track rod end. And had even been adjusted by a professional tyre fitters a few days before. It also happened to be the only new part on the whole car that was being inspected. This lead me to making some enquiries when I realised the part that had failed was not the 15 year old one but the brand new one a week or so later. I asked why did neither of the 2 mechanics think to raise this unusual issue with me at the time. - To no reasonable response. If they could tell me now why it was replaced- I was told they would call me. They didn't. After calling again I was told no one remembers. I asked for the parts reciepts for the new part they had replaced. - they refused. There is a great disconnect between the MOT tester, the mechanic and the receptionist. Unfortunately a lot of trust is required from mechanics, had I just accepted everything they told me I would never think to highlight this issue to other potential customers.

Excellent service. We moved to Pocklington two years ago and glad we came across Peter Hartas. Very honest people. Called today as our engine management light came on but still driving fine. They plugged it in and confirmed everything was ok and it was just due to it losing connection to sensors. Some garages would have made something up to create work. We won’t be going anywhere else for our car maintenance. Thanks all at Peter Hartas. Ben

My first time coming here. Very late notice booking in the lady at the desk managed to squeeze me in 2 days before my mot ran out. (even though she said they was very busy) Got there and they was very polite and helpful, would highly recommend and will be definitely be going back to Peter Hartas.
