Have used Pocklington carpets and so has our daughter. Very helpful people, they listen to what you want and give you great guidance and advice. Have got quotes for jobs from other carpet suppliers in the area. As soon as got quotes from Pocklington carpets there's no contest, you'll struggle to get better guidance, advice and prices. Would highly recommend.

I'm sure some will rate this place 5 stars. But again I've walked into this shop to be "greeted", when the older gentleman would look away from his computer, to be almost grunted at. I can only assume he is the owner, but he is so grumpy and so unhelpful. On the wall is a sign that members of staff will not tolerate any abuse. Well I think he needs a lesson on how to be polite to his customers. There's no order in the shop, samples just everywhere. He might be the only carpet place in pocklington, but for a smile and to be treated nicely, take my advice and go a little further out and find another shop. TAPI CARPETS, in Clifton Moor, so much nicer and you're treated better.

Booked in fitting for wrong date, then tried blaming us, only booked half the flooring in to be fit and missed other flooring off, and tried blaming us very put out and grumpy. We got them back out to rectify a crease in a carpet, its still there! Due to the delay in fitting flooring we lost our builder as he was waiting for them to fit flooring we told them or tried to as they weren't in the slightest bit bothered so no apologies for this from Pocklington carpets, we had plumber, electrician all booked in around Pocklington carpets and they dare to blame us for them not fitting the flooring and the date we all agreed when we were stood in the shop infront of them, shocking. Now we have poorly fit carpets with gaps around skirting, not tight upto skirting in areas, bent door plates and creases in carpet, hard flooring missing trim, trim not finished on ends, floor completely missing behind toilet, bouncy in areas, saw marks in areas. We owed £200 for underlay which we said we didnt want to pay until these issues were sorted out, and we had had chance to speak to them (not had chance as we'redoing a full house renovationand playing catch up because they were weeks late in fitting and we lost appointments with trades because of them, then we received a factually incorrect threatening letter from them, after no calls and one email with the invoice. Such a shame they didn't take the opportunity to rectify the situation instead of threatening us with legal action, nice service guys 👍 GIVEN THAT WE HAVE SPENT MANY 000'S£ we would expect better, but unfortunately not. We wish we hadn't have used Pocklington Carpets to floor our entire house, their customer service and fitting of the flooring is nothing short of appalling. STAY AWAY and use someone that does a decent job and appreciates your business. What will they do? Option 1 They will deny, lie and blame us further Option 2 Apologise, hold there hands up and say sorry, let us sort these problems out for you. Let's see ... In response to there comment, unfortunately for us this is the nightmare we've had with you. You wasn't refused entry, you turned up with a threatening invoice as we was going out and on the school run. We did explain that we would contact you when able to but it seems you managed to twist, lie and conveniently forget that, remarkable. As again we said we wanted these issue's rectified before we paid, again you've lied and twisted what we reasonably said. You guys are so very good at defending your bad service why not just be right about things in the first instance. Your behaviour is shocking!

All from measuring to having the carpets went smoother than you could of wished. I was told a fitter would be here at 9 this morning by 8.30 they were here and the lads did a great job. I couldn’t be happier with it. Thank you to all the team at Pocklington. Tina
