Did two nights here 15th to 17th Aug and our first impressions well we wasn't very impressed. Owner wasnt very welcoming, it looked like hard work for him to show us around to ve fare! There we're only us there out of the six pods which was fine but thought was a bit strange for mid August! Pods looking very tired, some had no wood on the back of them, very dirty around the windows of the pods, cobwebs everywhere, decking was mucking, the two chairs that were available were broke and got cigarette burns in one of them. There was supose to be a bbq for each pod. They were just a fire pit which had all been used and never cleaned. The paving slabs that theses were supose to be placed on were all broken and a trip hazard!. The BBQs on site were very dirty and looks like they have never been cleaned. Good job we brought our own with us. The communal kitchen well walked in and there was a mucky dish cloth on the side which was solid so it had been there a while with a mucky cup and the sink was dirty too. Toilets and showers were OK. This is not a first good impression at all. Apparently they haven't had anyone staying in the pods this year!!! And we won't be staying there again unfortunately. One good thing was it was very quiet and peaceful
We had an excellent two nights here (27th / 28th October). The pod was warm and cosy, and the bed was *very* comfortable. The only improvement would be to equip the pods with a few coat hooks, so that guests don't need to use quite so much of the small amount of floor space for storage.
Great pod. Comfortably housed two. There was a heater (which wasn't needed) 2 camp chairs with little side table, a folding table. Towel also provided. They also provide and extra warm blanket to use on the bed or round your barbecue, which is in front of each pod. But would suggest buying a couple of disposable ones as our grill was dirty, don't know about the others. People were respectful with regards to your food in the communal fridge freezer. Though they took our toothpaste! We forgot it one morning. We'll definately do some more pod glamping know we know what to expect.
Just got back from a weekend away. A beautiful little place away, quite hidden away which is nice. BBQ & Fire pit included which was nice on a night. Pods and all facilities were very clean and tidy. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but still slept well. Would recommend though. Can’t fault it
I stayed at half term in October so the temperatures were not high but my pod and the toilet/shower/kitchen block were very comfortably warm (and very clean). The bed was comfortable and all bedding provided. All in all, good value.
