Had a lovely stay in the Mayflower shepherd hut. Me, my wife and Frenchie stayed 5 nights in this cozy hut. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. We found great dog walks close by and York is just under half hour away.

Bit of a last minute booking, that did not disappoint. Lovely location, and beautifully presented shepherd's hut, with some lovely design details. Very thoughtful welcoming package..prosecco, quality biscuits, and fresh milk in the fridge. We loved the chunky wood, little butler sink, cosy double bed, fresh line dried towels, and the great shower room and loo...with a proper vintage cistern and chain pull! Compact little kitchen area, two ring gas burner, kettle and toaster, and small fridge. Well equipped crockery, cutlery etc. Outside, a hot tub(we didn't use), chairs and a fire pit, which we enjoyed. Its peaceful, quiet, adults only, and in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. We're here during the harvest, so everywhere is golden. The roads are long and quiet, the views breathtaking, the Wolds villages quaint and welcoming with many tearooms and pubs competing to outdo each other for delicious home baked cakes and excellent food. But that shepherd's hut amongst the trees is the perfect location.

An Adult Only CAMH CL The owner was very pleasant, non-intrusive but helpful when asked. Ample-sized pitches with easy access, all facing wide open lawn areas and wildlife pond The amenities (toilet/wash/shower) were spotless. Easy sorting of your waste into 2 bins adjacent to fresh water, grey water Chemical Waste and cassette cleaning area. Pleasant dog walk around the perimeter thru the woods and the pond 5 mins down the road into Pocklington with all its amenities 2 supermarkets (Sainsbury's & Aldi) and a fantastic Fish & Chip shop (Stuarts of Driffield) Was it worth it? Oh yes without a doubt Would we go back? Definitely PS If going to this site I would suggest using A1079 to Hayton then to Burnby T junction and turning Left the site is about 500yds.

Just had the best 2 night stay in the bluebell shepherd’s hut. Hosts are super friendly and everything is provided you need. York designer outlet just a 20 minute drive away. Such a cosy and peaceful setting would definitely recommend this stay.
