Yorkway Motel

I was originally booked into Yorkway Motel to attend a metal detecting event but it was cancelled. I kept the accommodation with the intention to visit York. The hotel itself is fantastic kept to a very high standard. The staff are absolutely wonderful especially Loraine (with one L) and Michelle. I went into York on the park-and-ride which was at the recommendation of the barman and this turned out to be a great idea. I cannot rate this place high enough. It is absolutely wonderful and I intend to visit next year if the event is rescheduled. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. They were serviced each day and they are finished to a very high standard. The owner Michael is very pleasant and runs a very tight ship.

Very comfortable room, including an excellent desk chair for working. Bed and pillows were sublime Large walk-in shower was also excellent. Friendly service also helped. Didn't have a meal there. Onlyinor drawback was being adjacent to a road that the locals appear to use as a racetrack late at night so some noise overspill occurred.

Great for a 1 night business stay. WiFi works perfectly, smart clean room with a fantastic walk-in shower, good pressure and hot water pretty much instantly. Evening meal was spot-on as well, really nice and reasonably priced. For me that's all you need for 1 or 2 nights, clean room, decent shower, decent WiFi and good food. I will stay again when in the area.

What a great place to stay! Conveniently located and a smashing base to visit surrounding areas such as, York, and Harrogate, without the hassle of city centre parking charges and late night noise. Chalet style accommodation, with parking outside each room. Spotlessly clean and comfortable and very affordable if you book direct with the motel. The staff are professional, yet friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant area, provides delicious home cooked food, decent portion sizes and caters for vegetarians, without making a ' fuss' about it! There's a separate bar area and tables outside too for when the weather permits. I've stayed here on half a dozen occasions and always had a peaceful nights sleep and a positive experience all round, so therefore i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this smashing place.
