Parkside Guest House

I would like to recommend this place as one of the best overnight experiences in similar accommodations. An exceptionally quiet place where you can perfectly relax after a hard day. The service is at the highest level — I accidentally spilled coffee on the blanket and contacted the manager Zoe. She fixed the issue and replaced my bedding within minutes — it took no longer than 5 minutes. This situation happened to me for the first time, but I was truly impressed by such a fast and attentive service. For me, it’s important to have peace, quiet, and cleanliness — everything was perfect and in harmony here. I can confidently recommend this place — you definitely won’t regret staying here. We loved our time at Parkside! It was ideal for 20 of us, ranging in ages from 3 - 80. Clean, very well equipped, a lovely hot tub, huge snooker table, a room we could all sit in to eat, great kitchens and a big BBQ, and every room had its own little touches. The park next door was well used by the kids, and local walks were enjoyed. Zoe, the owner, and her cleaners, were all lovely, kind, and helpful. I've recommended it to a couple of different friends, and we've already booked to go again! My only suggestions on improvements would be a towel hook on the back of the bathroom door and blackout curtains to go over the blinds. Oh, and oven gloves! But they are really small things. It's a lovely place and we miss it already!

"SIMPLY THE BEST" We booked the whole accommodation for our fancy dress "Traitors Weekend". ( A group of 14 of us) Everyone was so impressed with their En-suite rooms. The facilities are second to none. Spotlessly clean with everything on site to make a perfect weekend away. Zoe is so helpful and has thought of every little detail. Perfectly situated for a 5 minute walk for Sunday lunch at the King's Head. ( please go, their Sunday lunch is out of this world) All I can say is if you're looking for accommodation in this area Parkside Guest House is simply the best. We will definitely book again when our group gets together. Thanks Zoe and Team. UPDATE: We've booked for another long weekend for the whole accommodation in early December 2025 for our MURDER MYSTERY because we were so impressed with Parkside. Can't wait 👏👏. Stayed here for work. Booking early for the next week to ensure I get in again , so been here for 5 weeks. The rooms are spacious and individually decorated so way better than a generic hotel. The self serve breakfast is simple but very convenient and there is plenty. Also as it is self serve there is no need to stick to meal times. Ideal when leaving formwork early. Always a downside in hotels when breakfast starts at a specific time. The additional.kitchen to cook for yourself is excellent and very well equipped. Always lots of space in the fridges. The addition of a washing machine and dryer is perfect and although coin operated compared to a launderette it is amazing value. Cath, the manager ,is always welcoming and friendly and meets you on arrival. Highly recommended.
