The Hideaway

After a little browse around the shops on a Saturday we decided to try somewhere new for lunch. We found The Hideaway tucked away down a narrow alley (Mauds yard). The Hideaway has a very chilled vibe; although it's a sports and music bar it wasnt rowdy. Its a small place but the service was great and we found a table where we could chat, listen to the chilled music and enjoy our meal. We both chose sandwiches (hot roast beef & chicken and stuffing) both were lovely and served on fresh soft bread. The homemade, twice cooked chips were very tasty! Although the menu isn't particularly big theres something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. We plan to return again very soon!

We had a 40th birthday at the hideaway. Sarah and her staff were amazing and we had a great time. They allowed us to put a photo slide show on the screens and use our spotify playlist which saved us money on not needing a DJ. I would highly recommend the venue for celebrations.

A fantastic find! The owners were lovely and very accommodating of us and our dog. The breakfast was unreal! And eating in the outside area made us feel like we were on holiday. We will most definitely be back! Five stars for the chef as my slimming world breakfast was beautiful and my wife’s avacado on toast was just perfect too! Thanks again for the warm welcome. Today was my second trip to the hideaway. First time I went to eat, drink and watch football. Today we went for breakfast and took the dog as they are dog friendly. Lovely warm welcome, friendly service and fantastic food and drinks. What more could you want. Will definitely be back again soon.

Celebrated my friends 50th birthday. We had such a great afternoon. Staff were lovely. Nice Tapas. Nice cicktails
