Tonight we met Victoria after deciding to go for a couple of pints. We only planned on a pint, but Victoria's fantastic hosting and conversation kept us in far longer! A proper old school boozer with a proper mine hostess. Lovely pint of Guinness to boot! Thankyou x
Called in for lunch on the day of the Liquorice Festival. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The Sunday roast was good value for money and the Liquorice cheese cake was beautiful(a new favourite dessert). Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Looking forward to returning at the next opportunity.

Really friendly staff. The food was gorgeous. We'll be back the next time we're in Pontefract π
Beautiful old town pub. Spotlessly clean but OMG the beer is simply awful. Warm & flat Coors lager again & the Guinness was shocking. Third time in following new owners & keep hoping for the beer to improve but this currently is not the case. Needs serious attention to the cellar.
