Northgate Medical Centre

I have been with this practice since 1978 and never once had a problem or reason to complain.i just wanted to write this review to say thank you. I was having problems ordering medication before my holidays. I had to call the practice on two occasions to try and sort it. The two reception staff I spoke to were very helpful and understanding. Thank you both( not sure I can put names on here).It was very much appreciated.

I’ve never been to a surgery where the reception staff were so ignorant to patients. Leaving people stood at reception whilst they did what ever they were without even so much as making eye contact or saying I will be with you in a minute. I attended with someone who doesn’t usually come to this surgery and I feel sorry for patients who have to come regularly. I watched this happen to every single person who approached the desk and the manner in which they were then spoken to was short and unpleasant. Do better.

Attended here yesterday. The doctor I saw was a male & his attitude was absolutely disgusting. Slamming his equipment about & shouting at me because I was worried & stressed out & just had a panic attack. Saying he can’t reassure me & calling me a liar about prior hospital visits. Receptionist was lovely & reassuring but the doctor proceeded to come outside & then shout at my partner & laugh in his face.

Really well looked after by the whole team here. Using the online system to flag my problems I'm always contracted next working day and sorted out. When I've had a more complex issue I was initially quite dismissive about, they made sure I was fully investigated to rule out anything alarming. Timely responses when regular med refills are requested on the NHS app. Everybody has been polite and friendly at every interaction.

Disgusting how reception staff don't have any manners, care or time for people. If you can't care for people then don't work somewhere where caring about people is essential.
