Co-op Funeralcare, Pontefract

We used Co-op for our dad’s funeral. The service we received from start to finish was very professional and all who were involved went above and beyond. They really gave our dad the best send off we could’ve hoped for! Lauren the Funeral Director and Becca in the office really listened to every idea we had and made everything we wanted possible! Julie from the office, Dave, Bob, Gary and Edward on the day and Hannah, Katie, Helen and Edward from the prep all also really made the day and build up very special. Everyone at the coop were absolutely marvellous They were very professional from start to finish and my family and could not have been happier. Paul Hargreaves’s is a wonderful caring person and we could not have asked for a nicer person to look after our lovely sister he always went the extra mile with attention to every detail. I cannot recommend coop funeral care enough. Having lost our mum 20 years ago, this was the first time my siblings and I have had to lead on the practicalities and arrangements when someone dies.From the first phone call and visit we had from the funeral director, we were treated with such respect and compassion. We were talked through everything that we needed to do and it took some of the emotional burden away. Throughout the whole process, we were provided with guidance, reassurance, humour (which we needed at that point!) and no judgement. The regular communication and updates continued to support us throughout the whole process and no question was too silly. It is very clear that the staff at pontefract coop funeral care are in their jobs for the right reasons and not just to make money. They are genuine, kind and compassionate people who take pride in their work and supporting others going through hardship. I honestly feel if we hadn't had their support through one of the most difficult times we have had to go through, we really would have been at a complete loss. Thank you for everything

I cannot praise the staff at the Pontefract branch, in particular Duane and Lauren, after not 1 but 2 funerals in 3 months. They were respectful, helpful and kept me informed throughout the process. Nothing was too much or an usual ask. Especially after my dad died 12 weeks after Mum. His funeral was a little unconventional as a tribute to his life and Duane then Lauren jump aboard and made my vision be a fitting tribute to my dad. Becca Robinson helped to arrange my mother in laws funeral. It was perfect from start to finish. I would highly recommend Becca. She did an amazing job. I cannot thank her enough how she looked after my mother in law Jean. Becca and co-op funeralcare was amazing. Thank you so much xx
