Went for food with my partner’s family. Very nice luckily they reserved beef before it sold out earlier on in the day. Good portion size, maybe too big! Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
Arriving on Friday night with no booking and wet through we were made very welcomw- atmosphere of warmth, laughter was so inviting we rebook a table again for Saturday night. Best steak pie, salmon tagliatelle were amazingly. Saturday night were not disappointed. Service and attitude of staff were expectional. Xxx
The room was lovely, staff very pleasant. However, the double bed in room 5 was extremely uncomfortable. It was so hard that I had to sleep on the duvet to get any sleep at all. I was under the understanding that breakfast was at 7.30 am. so went down to dining room and all doors were locked. Nobody around so went out door to outside which slammed behind me. Unable to rouse anyone but was saved by the cook arriving. The latter problem was my fault as I am 80 and deaf. I also did not read information correctly and could not access locked door.
A very friendly B+B, with a great vegan breakfast. The room was lovely. I knocked off a star for location because I would have liked to be down in the heart of the village near the sea, but it's a small point and the exercise I got walking up and down the hill probably did me good.
We went to this pub for a meal after a long day walking the Cleveland way. Ordered food waited an hour .. told the food was being plated up .. waited another 15 mins and told that they are very busy although the empty tables told a different story. Food was mediocre at best and very small portion …no real apology. We were going to go for breakfast but think we will give it a miss.
