Asda Redcar Supermarket

I entered Asda full of hope and left emotionally damaged. Spotted 8 cans of Pepsi sitting proudly above a sign that whispered sweet lies: £3.48. I believed it. I trusted it. I loved it. Then I went to the self-checkout. The machine looked me dead in the eyes and charged £4.61 like it had nothing to hide. No apology. No explanation. Just cold, calculated betrayal. I briefly questioned reality. Was the sign a suggestion? A memory? Performance art? A social experiment to see how much pain a human can endure before pressing “call for assistance”? I did not buy the Pepsi. I placed it back on the shelf, slowly, like returning evidence to a crime scene. I then left the store empty-handed, but richer in principles and poorer in hope.

Good car parking. Easy access from the street if on foot. Shop is very well laid out, with spacious Isles. Good range of produce and groceries, including sausage filled hot rolls, breads, pastries etc for any beach goers to grab on the way past. Very clean throughout, hand wash was available at the entrance. Customers and staff were all masked. Door security was discrete and there was no queue at the checkout.

Quick and convenient, reasonable product selection. Usually have to pop into Morrisions Daily for couple of items not stocked at this Asda otherwise it would be 5*.

Usually a busy shop. Always well stocked. staff seem pre-occupied with their personal gossip than customers and can be quite rude at times. only 2 tills are staffed the rest are self service with 50% being card only.

Great shop well stocked and always a bargain to be had. I pop in here almost daily. But have to say stopped buying my beer from here it's got so expensive now and aldi is on my way home so pop in there for my beer 🍺
