Redcar Argos

Went to store to collect my online purchase. Young girl at counter completely ignored me while she focused on her phone leaning against the stands behind her. I gave her about a minute to see me right in front of her but I still had to alert her to serve me. When she did retrieve my product from the back she dumped it on the counter and walked off. No thank you, no smile , no explanation that the receipt will be on email, I had to ask her. Totally ignorant, uninterested in her job and sees the customer as a distraction to her phone activity. Will not be shopping here again, not a member of staff I would ever employ. Her colleague at the till worked hard and greeted customers pleasantly, shame the one I got was rude and ignorant.

A standalone branch of Argos. I ordered a couple of devices on the Argos website for later collection. However, there had been an issue with their website and orders hadn't been processed. The staff in store were friendly, helpful and polite and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Very helpful staff, nice store.

Rude staff .wont be going there ever again

I order items at home in comfort and then pick them up at Argos. There's not usually a long wait.

Staff are very iffy here. Travelled half an hour to get there to pick up an item that had already been purchased, was told to provide ID, yet no mention on the text or email to say I had to. When asking the staff the reason for this, I was told 'I just need it'. wasted an hour total in travel that day without the item. Came back the next day (so 2 hours in total travel) I was handed my item with no problems WITHOUT SHOWING ID, when questioning this I was responded to very defensively ' it's optional to ask IN OUR COUNTRY'. Don't know what she meant by that statement probably just racism, maybe they don't know how to react to a brown person? I don't know.
