I am really impressed by this gym. I am only in town for a couple of days so we asked if we could use the facilities as a one off and this was no problem. It cost £7 per person, which I thought was good value. The gym is very well equipped and maintained. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful and did a great job of going round, keeping the place clean and tidy.

Broken kits all over and you wonder where your membership money is going - fix the leg extensions or get the missing piece to the broken kits. Simple fixes but they don’t care they just obviously want your money.

Came here as a visitor and would suggest you try and speak to someone to get a day pass before arriving! No staff around (when the website said there would be) and no way to make an account to buy one once you're there... I had done the research to find the gym before arriving, and the website said you can get a day pass from reception. We showed up and no one answered the bell, and we couldn't make accounts because you need the club code which isn't presented anywhere. Basically ended up wasting 45 minutes trying to get in so found somewhere else to go. Would suggest if you are visiting Redcar and need a gym to head to the leisure centre instead! Edited in light of owner's response: I had checked that on the website, and so there was no reason we should not have been able to get in - the reception should have been manned when we arrived but was not. Similarly, when you get there it says you should make an account to get a day pass, but you need a code and it isn't there, nor is on the website. If it is the case that you cannot access reception or obtain a day pass at all if classes are on, it should say that very clearly (i.e., not "may not" but "will not"). We were there for 20 minutes not 6, but I was really referring to the total 45 minutes' disruption to my day of getting there, not getting in for 20 minutes, then having leave and find somewhere else to go. Will be more precise in the future.

Staff were nice, super friendly and the free parking was a bonus. It was really really busy when I went in, and I was in the middle of a Bulgarian split squat when a kid came up behind me and took the bench out from under me lol which wasn't ideal as I hurt myself But that's not the gyms fault. Just marked it 1 down as it was seriously overcrowded, and everything became a bit of a trip hazard. But it was peak time, so just avoid it at that time and you should be good.

What can I say? I’m a regular gym goer but I’m currently using a walking stick as I’ve had an operation. Let me just say, this makes no difference to the staff and regulars in there. I went to a class and Clare and the regulars were so helpful I managed to do the class at my own level with them helping me adjust my weights etc. So if you’re disabled, whether it be temporary or permanent, go along, you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
