Visited yesterday for a meal with my two young children. Food delicious. Our new favourite food venue in Reeth! Decor fabulous and atmosphere lovely - roaring fire was wonderful on a wet evening! Great sized meals for the children and absolutely divine lamb for my main course. Service was impeccable. The new managers have breathed new life into the pub with a full refurb and we can’t wait to return!

The pub has a nice ambience with an open hearth, so is nice and welcoming when entering on a cold evening……… sadly it didn’t live up to expectations, we were pointed in the direction of our, reserved, table, not taken and seated. Service was ok, polite. Food very mediocre. £16 for one scallop with a little salad. The scallop was raw, seafood chowder was 12 mussel shells with only 8 mussels, 2 tiny prawns and 2 langoustines, which sadly tasted as if they had been frozen. £45 fillet steak was tough, asked for medium, but came rare. Peppercorn sauce was just gravy with peppercorns in. The food was plain, unseasoned, undercooked, saving grace was the dessert which was nice. £215 was definitely overpriced. Lovely place set in picturesque location. Really disappointed in the food. Would not recommend paying those prices for a meal here. American/Tourist prices with mediocre food.

We went to the kings arms for a overnight stay and sunday dinner the following day. The stop over was very welcoming from walking in, the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are extremely comfy and well equiped. The food is amazing, there is nothing more satisfying than eating a home cooked roast next to a roaring fire. Billy, Lisa, David and all the staff have done an amazing job of making the kings arms a warm comfortable village eatery and pub and its becoming a true destination for visitors of reeth. Its also one of the most Dog friendly places we have ever been in. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Just had lunch. Lovely and cosy with very friendly staff. However the lunchtime sandwiches, although tasty, were expensive. Around £14 for a sandwich and salad garnish; fillings were gorgeous but all came in ordinary pre-sliced bread! Expected something a bit more for the price.

We came across The Kings Arms when walking into Reeth and concluding our walk from Thwaite. We were welcomed by friendly staff, a roaring fire and fabulous Guinness. We then decided to book dinner a few hours later and the food was incredible. I would recommend this lovely place to all who visit the beautiful area of Reeth
