A rare, rare find. Lovely intimate cafe with delicious food and brilliant service. Great old sixties tunes were playing on the fine sound system, with additional live vocals from the chef in the kitchen (also good!). The window seats are perfect for people watching. Best line of the visit, 'May I pay? We insist on it"!
Absolutely class. Cosy, warm, unpretentious, lovely people, and great tunes, brews, and food. Such a welcome escape from the rain. Wonderful vibes and the absolute best tuna melt I’ve ever had, which I’ll now think about until I next come back to have it again. Thank you! X
We came across this cute little cafe while travelling. Scone was delicious😋 and we had a lovely pot of ☕ tea. Atmosphere was excellent, retro and chic💗
Great Breakfast Spot – Relaxed and Delicious Breakfast at Tea, Toast & Post was a really nice experience. It’s a small, cozy place with good service and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The food was tasty and reasonably priced — good value for money. The coffee was fantastic, served in your own French press, which was a great touch. Even the background music added to the charm. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable start to the day. Highly recommended if you’re in Robin Hood’s Bay!
Just finished my second breakfast in this charming boho establishment - I wished I lived around the corner. As advertised in the "Whitby foghorn" my doorstep fish finger sandwich went down very well with both me, but more importantly also the missus. I was only slightly disappointed that I couldn't have my first choice, the Yorkshire rarebit. However, chalked on the bottom of the board this morning was rarebit (leaving out the Yorkshire) so we ventured in and ordered. We were not disappointed! A truly delightful double cheese rarebit, masterly toasted under a hot grill to perfection , sneakily enhanced with enough brown sauce under the cheese to enhance, but not over dominate the simplicity of the meal. All washed down with a pot of real coffee. This is set with a background of an eclectic mixture of music, occasionally accompanied by the talented chef with his dulcet vocal tones emanating from the kitchen. This humble establishment is second to none and even though it missed the Yorkshire on the blackboard outside there was triple Yorkshire hospitality inside, well worth a visit. Enjoy.
