Best fish and chips we ever had! COD was so fresh and juicy, cooked to order. Great seating and with toilet facility and baby change table too. Lady behind cook really good fish to perfection! Will come back all the way just for this fish and chip
Avoid this place. If you walk by it, you'll find better nice little cafes down the hill in the village, or far better at the hotel just up the hill. We had multiple fish and chips, scampi and a grilled fish. The grilled fish was coated in a residue like they'd just peeled the batter off a fried fish, the scampi were still half frozen and the fish clearly wasn't fresh and covered in far too much better. The price is far too high for what it is, and clearly relies on the high number of tourists and the convenience. I hope you fewer people fall for their nonsense and cause them to hand the place over to somebody who has interest to make nice food and give a nice atmosphere.
Really tasty homemade fish cakes! Chips also fab. Only complaint is that the curry sauce wasn't the most tasty I've ever had but still enjoyed the overall meal. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and incredible views.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Decent Food, Great Location We recently ordered from Fishbox — two fish (Scampi and Haddock), one fish cake, and a portion of fries. The Scampi was tasty and cooked well, definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the Haddock didn’t quite meet expectations. It was supposed to be grilled, but it lacked that distinct grilled flavor — no char or smoky taste. It could’ve used a bit more seasoning or even a mild spicy kick to make it more enjoyable. The fish cake and fries were average — nothing special but not bad either. Where Fishbox really shines is the location — absolutely top-notch! The setting and atmosphere were perfect, so I’d give a solid 5 stars for the location. Overall, the food was okay — not amazing, but not terrible either. A 3-star experience for the food, but I might come back just for the view and the Scampi!
Lovely fish and chip shop with indoor and outdoor seating good choice of food and drinks. I got a jumbo sausage and chips and gravy and the chips were great and a perfect location by the top of the hill to the bay! Would recommend before or after a visit to the beach
