Lane 11 seems to be a bad one, judging by reviews on here and Facebook. Went today to treat our kids for Christmas. Couldn't get through two games. Pins kept falling over, not setting properly, then before the end of our second hand all the balls jammed. We kept asking what was happening and having to search someone out to help. Nobody did anything. One young lass left to try to resolve everything on her own. Manager on reception did not care one bit and even tried blaming us because apparently there were 30 balls stuck in the machine (we didn't let that happen, we had no issue with ball return untill the very end and we did NOT chuck 30 balls down there!). He said they couldn't give us another lane because they were busy. But they took money for other families paying on the door even though there was us and another family waiting to be relocated. Such a badly run venue completely lacking in customer care. Don't waste your money here, and if you do REFUSE TO USE LANE 11 OR 12. Edit (as no other way to reply to response). We reported the issue as it happened which happened to be near the end of the game after constant issues throughout. We never got to finish our game. The manager did not care and even though my husband said we would never return we were only offered a voucher for one free game and not a refund for our ruined family event. As stated previously - manager did not care, no empathy, still just taking money from other families and just wanted us to go away. Please let me know if you're happy to offer a refund to show good faith as we will happily take it. Although with previous customer service interactions I can guarantee we won't hear any more back from them now. Very disappointed at the flippant response.
Been going off and on for years (still miss the Hillsborough Superbowl, but that's long gone of course.) One of the better bowling alleys around. Lanes downstairs are especially good condition, and seem to be the preference for more serious bowlers, but even the lanes upstairs near the mini arcade are fairly good compared to some chains. House balls and shoes are in much better condition than many places. Drinks and food aren't cheap, but reasonable compared to similar places. Same goes for the prices to bowl - look out for offers. Not quite five star, as there's no pro shop, and you do sometimes find a bit of a lack of staff, with kids left to run around in not always the safest way, but better than Hollywood Bowl and similar.
The facilities were well kept and great modern screens. No bowling deals for families on Sundays to draw more people in. The food was interestingly expensive, more so than McDonald's. Some machines for arcade were not functioning well.
Me and my friend had an amazing time at this venue, where we were booked in promptly at the reception. The stairs and carpet helped welcome us before the game, playing at a grand lane with true bowling designs! There is a proper range of bowls available, especially in different sizes, and the selfies we took for the scoreboard were used in numerous video settings on the screen. A member of staff helped us at the start when we accidentally entered too many players, also the toilets had been kept clean!
Rotherham Superbowl, is very modern and clean. Nice atmosphere with plenty of facilities inside. 15 lanes, bar area, amusement area and a Wimpy inside. Toilets are clean, disabled toilets and baby changing is also available. Snack machine and change machine for the arcade area. Set up for the bowling is easy to do on tbe touch machines or you can set names and preferences pre visit online. Staff are very helpful if you need any assistance to start your game. There is also a party room available if you fancy a birthday day out. Feature nights for Christmas, New Yaer and Halloween. Lots of parking available on site, I didn't see any EV charging points on this visit. 10 mins away from Medowhall shopping centre. Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.
