Absolutely amazing gym. Went to visit this gym when it opened and was absolutely blown away. All the equipment top notch Nautilus and by far the best in the business. Star trac running machines, stair-master. The layout is perfect. So much so I joined straight away. Staff always do welcoming and helpful greeting everyone as they come through the door. It has a reception/ dining area that serves coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and even meals. Perfect to have a gym session then sit down for your lunch. Everlast Rotherham have got it just right here with this place.
Very disappointed with this gym. After I raised concerns about my personal trainer failing to deliver the sessions I paid for. They refused to take responsibility even though the trainer was working on their premises, and I was left without the service I paid for. The lack of support and accountability from management is unacceptable. I do not recommend this gym to anyone who values professionalism and customer care.
The gym facilities themselves are good. Could do with another fly/delt machine, but generally not bad. The management / personnel are the issue, who are comically (think Rotherham's gym version of faulty towers) inept. Verbally & physically abusive, vaping and doing kick ups in the kitchen, rude and abrasive when getting ready to close up for the evening. Was actually locked in once with a few other members (5 mins before official closing time), they were that keen to get out work. What an experience.
Horrible gym. The staff ruin it. They’re rude and always sitting down, never anyone at the desk to help and when they are they communicate in a way that’s negative. I’m a frequent everlast gym visitor however this is the worst I’ve been to. Used to go here as my partner lived near and had a situation where a very angry man confronted my partner and I saying we were staring at him and was making threats. We reported it to the ‘duty ‘ manager on shift and he came over and shook the guys hand at the end and said have a nice workout. This was handled very badly and not a safe place to work out. We asked to speak to the manager but he just replied with ‘ she’s not in’
I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at this gym. Here’s what happened: 1. No Clear Rules or Signage– I was going using a treadmill when a member (Member A) asked me to move so she could be near her friend. I complied, I moved to next machine. Immediately, Member A said we might need that one too. There was no one on the machine, and no clear sign that class was taking place or this running machine was reserved. So I went on the machine start to run. Staff R saw me without saying anything but 38 minutes later during my running, staff R abruptly demanded I vacate the machine for a class without any prior notice or posted policies. If there are rules, they should be clearly displayed! 2. Staff Escalated Conflict. When I asked to see the gym’s policy, staff R raised heir voice instead of resolving the issue professionally. 3. Verbal Harassment by Members A & B. Two members shouted insults at me, accusing me of "ruining the class.” Why You Should Think Twice Before Joining: ❌ Poor communication-No signage or warnings about class equipment usage. ❌ Unprofessional staff, Instead of de-escalating, they yelled at me. ❌ Toxic environment– Members were allowed to verbally abuse me without repercussions. To Everlast Management: - Train staff on conflict resolution. - Post clear rules about class equipment. - Hold aggressive members accountable. I’ve filed a formal complaint with corporate. Avoid this gym if you expect basic respect and professionalism.
