Pitches are a bit narrow and cramped if more than one match is going off at once. Cafes nice though and the staff are friendly.
Little boy loves it. Looks forward to every Sunday morning. Could really do with the cafe being open on Sun morn, but McD's and Gregg's only a 2 Mon drive. Good bunch and all qualified staff. 3 quid for an hour and a half is a great price for my little fella to have a great time.
Too small a pitch to play properly. And the grass is that well worn down/flattened there is no resistance, which means the ball flies off the pitch even with a gentle forward pass. Cafe is ok, gets the sun on it so u can shelter from the wind that always seems to be blowing here every time we've played here.
Good facilities for a game of football as the pitch in great condition. Could do with higher nets around it though as many balls went over with a couple lost as they went into the construction yard opposite and couldn't be found.
Don't Book! I booked the big pitch for 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon and organised 14 friends to play. I booked this on Saturday afternoon and I received the email saying my request was pending and the money had been taken from my account. By late Saturday afternoon I still hadn't received my approval email so I tried to contact Parkgate Astro multiple times throughout Saturday and Sunday as they hadn't sent me a confirmation but they had taken the money. I turned up at the pitch 30 minutes before our booking to find the place closed and padlocked shut. Me and a friend continued to try and contact the company but still didn't receive an answer until 10 minutes before our booking. The person we spoke to asked me when I booked the pitch to see if he could find the booking, and he confirmed that he sees the booking but must have missed it. He said he would come down and unlock the gate of us to use, however 10 minutes went by and he didn't turn up and we received a call saying that he doesn't have the keys and the people who do have keys aren't available. I mentioned that the money had been taken from my account but he says that it doesn't take money out until the booking is confirmed (this isn't true). He then said his boss said that our booking had been cancelled and that we should have been informed (we weren't) He says there nothing he can do and then cancels the booking 2 minutes before we are due to play (while we was on the phone). This left 14 of us waiting in the carpark with no where to play.
