Changing rooms absolutely stink like sewerage. They don’t tell you at reception or any signs saying you need a pound coin for locker. Had to bring toddler back through to reception in swim wear to ask for a coin but they said take your bags swimming with you instead. Floors need a really really deep clean it stinks. I won’t ever come here again
The reception staff are incredibly rude. We've been using this for over a year now with zero improvement in customer service. The changing rooms never seem to be clean with litter all over the place and a strong smell of urine and faeces. This is a community pool and portrays a very poor image of Rotherham Borough Council.
Great facility at a very reasonable price. We took our grandson swimming. The only improvement I would recommend would be to add a few more family changing rooms as there are only 3 and we did have a fair wait.
It's a dull place generally and the water in the big pool is barely heated. I get so cold I have to go in the sauna to warm up. Miserable staff. People get in your way in lane swims all the time. Also very creepy mixed changing rooms and showers, not comfortable or relaxing.
Part of an email of complaint sent to the complex because as you can see from images attached , hygiene levels like this with literal faeces on walls and ceiling is unacceptable. I hope we can see changes. 1. **Reception Area First Impressions**: My interactions at the reception have often been less welcoming than expected. The demeanor of the staff there doesn't quite convey the warmth or enthusiasm one looks forward to when entering a leisure facility. This has somewhat diminished the initial excitement of our visits. 2. **Hygiene and Cleanliness Concerns**: I am particularly troubled by the cleanliness standards in the changing areas. It's disheartening to report that there has been a noticeable lack of hygiene, evidenced by unsanitary conditions on the ceiling that have persisted over my visits. For your reference, I've attached photographs documenting this issue. Ensuring a clean and hygienic environment is crucial for customer satisfaction and health standards. 3. **Swimming Pool Temperature Fluctuations**: While I can personally tolerate variations in the pool temperature, I am concerned about its suitability for children, including my 2-year-old daughter who finds the water uncomfortably cold. Maintaining a consistent and appropriate temperature is essential for a pleasant and safe swimming experience, especially for young swimmers. I cherish the moments spent at your facility for leisure and bonding with my daughter. It's a highlight of our week, underscoring the importance of a positive, clean, and welcoming environment. I believe addressing these areas could significantly enhance the experience for all patrons, reinforcing the value and enjoyment of your services. Appalled by the fact issue was never rectified despite getting a response to say issues were forwarded on. Clearly don’t care. Don’t bother going despite price. You get what you pay for I guess.
