Ham & Cheese Pub

Absolutely brilliant pub/Hotel. We have been. Staying in the area and called in on Sunday for lunch we hadn't booked but they found a table for us. We had our 2 dogs with us too. The menu was Extensive. We chose Sunday lunch which was very tasty and enjoyable. We have been in everyday since and had lovely time food every time. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Food prices are around average . We go home tomorrow but will be going in for tea this evening. The pub if open for food from 8am and the stop taking orders at 8pm. Definitely recommend.

Great country pub, we were recommended the pub after staying in a local Air BnB down the road. Would definitely recommend booking as it’s only smallish on the inside. But the food was outstanding, we both had 3 courses and a couple of drinks and it came to around £70. The service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Stayed in the pub car park with our campervan. It's free to do so, but obviously it's the done thing to use the pub, and good manners to ring in advance. The staff are wonderful, very helpful indeed, great real ales and the food is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend a visit here if you're in the Malton area. 👌

We had my wife’s retirement birthday here last night 09/07. Absolutely brilliant night had by all. The staff were spot on and had everyone seated unobtrusively as my wife came in. It was a brilliant surprise and a great night was had by all. The atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect. The menu is well worked out with a good choice of local ingredients and tastes for all palettes. The steak was cooked to perfection. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. The portioning was great too, not over-facing but plenary to come away full. They accommodated the cake and had a lovely Rose Prosecco. All in all a fabulous place. We’re so blessed to have a great local venue like this. Staff worked brilliantly with a long table and 12 guests.

Very disappointing Turkey dinner, looked like Sunday warm up, Turkey in little bits not slices, not very hot and coffee presented with froth running all down sides until asked to clean. Have been a few times before and been good
