Appalling service from KAL this company threatens members! They shut the swimming baths in sciccet for 6 months! We were under the impression that this wouldn’t take longer than 3 months, they offered us other venues that simply are not accessible due to health issues, had we known they were going to close for 6 months we would never have taken our membership out! Basically once you take your membership out they can close for however long they like and you are still in a 12 month contract! I’ve been told they are going to shut again for a period of time next year for yet more renovations! This baths has been going for years it is now corporate and this is what happens, take it from me, they are unreliable, unprofessional and very threatening!

Good leisure centre and swimming baths. I learned to swim here in 1976. It's been modernised a lot but essentially the same pool.

0 stars. If anyone is considering signing up please, I cannot urge strongly enough, do not bother. Signed up for a “12 payment contract”, made 12 payments, gave 30 days’ cancellation notice - told I have not made 12 payments (counted them myself!!) because payment 1 was discounted. This was an offer provided by KAL so I can’t understand how it’s become my problem that payment 1 of 12 was discounted! They said if I don’t pay I will have their debt collection agency to deal with, so add threats to their list of skills. Anyway I asked that they escalate my complaint and was told it’s not a complaint due to their terms and conditions - absolutely no words :) During my 12 payments, the pool has been closed for 6 of them. The short version is - nobody gives a damn! Hopefully I can save someone else the same nonsense.

I’m beyond fed up with KAL. I signed up on a £5 first month offer, which was clearly advertised. Since then, I’ve made 12 payments in total – including that first £5 payment. By anyone’s maths, I’ve more than fulfilled the minimum contract. Now I’m trying to cancel, and they’re outright denying my cancellation, claiming I still owe them another payment. It’s completely ridiculous and feels like a deliberate ploy to squeeze extra money out of me - probably because they're bleeding money and can't seem to keep the organisation afloat due poor management. Their customer service has been nothing short of useless – dismissive, unhelpful, and not interested in actually resolving the issue. Frankly, it’s a disgrace. I’ve held up my side of the agreement and they’re refusing to hold up theirs. I’ll never sign up with KAL again and I’d strongly advise anyone thinking about it to stay well clear unless you fancy a fight to leave.

Called in today to enquire about lane swimming and wanted to compliment the two members of staff who dealt with my husband and I. They were extremely helpful and welcoming. They explained the details fully and even took the time to show us the pool and where to change etc as we were not familiar with it. Thanks to both of them 👍🏼
