Jacob Smith Park

A lovely winter sunset at Jacob Smith Park in Knaresborough. The colours in the sky were beautiful, and the park felt calm and peaceful — a perfect place for a quiet walk and a moment to slow down.

Great, wild open space with lots of interesting trees and wild plants. Can get a bit muddy in places, but for those of us with dogs, there's a very handy bin at the only entrance so you can't miss it, and it's completely enclosed so very tricky for the pups to escape if they do like to roam a bit.

Lovely undulating park with trees in grassland - being managed for wildlife. Popular with dog walkers. Seats for a relaxing picnic.

Wonderful place, great for a walk whatever the weather! A lot of benches throughout which is great when the weather is nice.

Lovely place. Was bequeathed to the locality by the original owners and it's a real gem. We went to walk the dog but any sort of walking, nature watching or picnicking would be perfect.
