This was an accessible station for travelling both to and from, having well-sized platforms accompanied by multiple entrances or exits! The usage of zone signs on platform 1 is a worthy addition and the enclosed bridge made another suitable feature, differing from the usual ones that stations have. A 3rd platform even though only 2 lines run through is refreshing and the shelter services are sufficient, where the departure board is on display. Trains run frequently to Leeds and the station is fine for waiting around, having cleanliness maintained.

Selby is a good old Yorkshire market town. It's centrepiece and star is Selby Abbey. Gowthorpe (street of fools from Norse) is main street. But with side roads and Market Cross shopping centre off. Friendly faces make this town a great place to visit.
