Located inside the Town Hall, just a few steps from the market square. There was lots of free info, maps, and some nice books about local places of interest and hiking in the Dales, as well as a few postcards and souvenirs. The lady behind the counter was both pleasant and helpful. I could help myself to a free map of Settle, and a free visitor guide which was packed with useful information about the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Excellent range of resources and friendly staff. We had a lovely chat with the delightful ladies providing information to tourists. They recommended Julia Chapman’s Dales Detective Series of books available in the local bookshop!
The two ladies we spoke to on Monday were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for tipping us off to Kirkby Lonsdale, we had a lovely day there on Tuesday.
