Beautiful stretch of river and falls slightly spoilt by the modern bridge and surrounding walk ways.

Lovely walk along the river bank. Peaceful even when busy with visitors. Our friends told us that herons can be seen fishing in the river!! We didn't see any but we will be back and try to catch them later 😁 Visit Settle, gorgeous little village

This is a bit of a local landmark. Known to locals, and particularly canoeist, as Queen's Rock. Care must be taken when the river is in flood or after heavy rainfall when water levels can rise rapidly. Fishing, though how legal it is I'm not sure, has happened from this point. Benches nearby to sit and have a picnic lunch, or just a gentle stroll along the well maintained riverside footpath.

Lovely path along the river, safe for letting the dogs run off lead and only 10 minutes from the centre of Settle.
