Choa Wang is a 27 year old student living in Sheffield who makes the most of an exciting city and who also enjoys making the most of the spectacular countryside on her doorstep.

What is your first memory of Yorkshire?

Local people were so kind and supportive to me when I arrived in Sheffield on the first day. I was struggling with two big suitcases and a backpack on my own when I got out of the taxi and was not sure where to find the accommodation I was supposed to go to. A very lovely British lady saw this and helped me out all the way through until I checked in to my room. I really appreciated her kindness at the time.

Where is your favourite place to eat in South Yorkshire?

London Road in Sheffield is one of the best places to go and eat in the city, mainly because there are loads of options with food from across the world at a reasonable price.

What is your favourite place to visit in South Yorkshire?

The Peak District. I am always amazed by the stunning countryside scenery over there.

What makes South Yorkshire so special?

Natural beauty, the people and their accents.
