Good service and very spacious, tastefully decorated rooms but the bed was rock hard and this made for two poor nights sleep. Breakfast was a bit crap the first morning, as if all the food had been left there too long but that might just be bad timing as it was better the second day. Can't fault the location as an exiled Blade, could see the south Stand from the breakfast table but our room was on the Bramall Lane side and the view out of the window was dismal.

Stayed here for 2 nights , the interior is like any Hilton, unfortunately we had very little sleep. The pillows are very uncomfortable, hard mattress. The tv has the option of you tube , we had to ring reception as it didn't work to be told you need an hdmi cable to use it ?! Who carries a hdmi cable , it should be made clear. Our second night we were woken at 5am by a loud banging noise I can only describe as king Kong dancing on the roof. We advised someone on reception who argued that there was nothing going on. I said go and sit in the room. My husband actually recorded it. What made our stay was the lovely bar staff , very friendly , welcoming. The 2 ladies at breakfast went and spoke to the manager about our early awakening and breakfast was comped so that was nice of them. They had more concern than the manager did. Next time we visit Sheffield we won't be staying here. ÂŁ135 per night is a lot of money for little to no sleep.

Never again…. This hotel is part of the football stadium complex. May be I should have done a bit more research before booked, but trusted the Doubletree brand. We had a room that overlooked the front entrance to the football stadium on 5th floor. A Friday night event was on in the stadium (not a full football match - I had checked that) and so there was a continual low noise and beat of music with the additional rattle of empty bottles being taken to the bin. All of which meant it was difficult to get to sleep. And when you speak with hotel reception they say they hope the event will end soon around midnight and won’t look for a different room until after midnight. Been down three times to speak with reception staff because the initial two times nothing seemed to happen - promised phone calls to the room did not happen. Staff noted they cannot do anything about the noise from the football stadium. The noise did eventually stop at 23:50 - so if you’d like some sleep before that time this is not the place to be.

I stayed at the DoubleTree Sheffield City Centre on a recent business trip. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-equipped for working comfortably. The breakfast was good with plenty of options to start the day, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Having parking available on-site was a big plus, and the location is ideal — just 10 minutes from the city centre. Overall, a great choice for business travel and I’d happily stay again.

Location - beautiful downtown Bramall Lane! Service, excellent. Food and drink very nice. Pleasant and accommodating atmosphere. Quite expensive but you have to treat yourself occasionally! Would recommend.
