Hollywood Bowl Sheffield

Yeah, this place! Harkened back to my own younger years. Good bowling, clean place, nice atmosphere, cool arcade too. I miss bowling shoes though, that was part of the charm... We didn't bother getting a drink, the queue was too long.

We vplayed in the VIP section, can't complain really. The only thing we didn't like was the overpowering smell of fried food. Other than that we had a great time.

Disappointing, lane prices aren't too bad but the choice of balls and extremely slippery floors on lane one let it down. Also we paid for VIP and what did I get for it.... Sweet FA, won't be doing that again, the chairs in the normal section were padded and VIP not.... Terrible

My family and I went to Hollywood Bowl in Sheffield. We paid for our vip labes plus drinks over the phone. The person on the front desk was polite enough. We were given one ticket for our drinks, not knowing we needed two. When we explained at the bar that we paid for two jugs of pepsi and not one, the manager Gemma told us to go to the front desk to get it from them. I had already been down and no one was there, so I asked Gemma if she coukd go down for us, as there was no one at the bar with us and there were two other bar staff at the bar. Gemma said she couldn't go down I would have to go. She was wearing a head microphone and so I asked her could she nit speak to staff through that, and I was told she couldn't so I would have to go diwn myself. I did say her customer service wasn't good at all, as Gemma could not be bothered to do anything, so I said I will reflect this in my review. Having been a manager myself, a manager are supposed to set an example for their staff, and do all you can to make customers feel welcome and deal with any issues thet may have. Huge arcade section as soon as you walk in and air conditioned which is a life saver on a hot day like today. Lady behind the desk was friendly with a smile and had good manners. Even have vip sections to sit in on specific lanes which is cool, large dining area with a bar also. The lanes are well lit and fun to play on, can order food and drinks to your lane also by simply scanning the qr code
