Simply the best local pub in my opinion - often can be super busy but the food here is amazing. I'd argue it's the best Sunday roast anywhere local, and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Coming here after a lovely walk around the woods or in the dales, sitting by the roaring open fire with your dog and a pint - nothing better! Highly recommend!
Stayed on a Friday night. Central location. Car park to rear, small but well presented rooms, a free beer with your stay and excellent breakfast included with the price. Had evening meal which was also perfect pub grub. Beers were well kept. Going to go back for sure.
We went for a late lunch while up in Skipton for a weekend away. The woolly sheep inn was lovely inside and homely. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pub is dog friendly! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back when we are next up near Skipton.
We stayed for 2 nights, the room was cosy, and clean. Perfect. The breakfast was plentiful with a choice of cooked breakfasts and a choice of help yourself cereals, yoghurts, toast etc, tea, coffee, juices. The ingredients of the cooked breakfast were top quality. The pub is excellent with large outdoor covered area with heaters. Great selection of Timothy Taylor's and other beers. The open fire in the front room was very nice. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant also was amazing. Will definitely be staring here again. 👍
We had a great experience at the Woolly Sheep Inn in Skipton for our Christmas Meal on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent and really well presented. A special mention to Milly, who was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Customer service was outstanding throughout. We’ll definitely be back.
