This pub is just a short walk from the railway station and full of railway memorabilia which makes it fun and quaint. The staff are so friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. They poured an excellent pint and it's a great starting point if you arrive on the train and want to have a warm up drink for Skipton. The area around it has been beautifully restored and there's a pedestrian bridge into town nearby as well as canal walks. Very dog friendly too! A great place to sit and keep an eye on the next train too!

This place is outstanding rooms gorgeous warm clean perfect size for 2 people Bar good choice of beers ale and staff very friendly. I didn't do breakfast but my wife said it was excellent but the chef made me a bacon butty to go. Doesn't look much from outside but as they say don't judge a book by it cover Highly recommend and we will be back

Visited The Railway for a meal last night and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The service was amazing from start to finish – friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. I ordered the pie, which was incredible – full of tender meat and packed with flavour. Highly recommend it if you're visiting! The pub has a warm, cosy, and relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind. The location is brilliant too, right in the heart of Skipton. The staff were amazing throughout – can’t fault a thing. I’ll definitely be returning. A hidden gem in town!

Three of us went for xmas dinner, very disappointed. My friend got cod, size of a goldfish 😳 sprouts were like bullets and the turkey looked like it was from a roll…not Quite Bernard Matthews….. no xmas crackers on our table? couple of larger parties came in while we was seated, and they laid table with crackers? Three xmas dinners £83, that was with no alcohol. My friend mentioned to a member of staff regarding the fish, which was the size of 2 postage stamps. The guy said i will pass in on to the kitchen. THAT was it. Safe to say we wont be returning
