Great camp site, lovely owner, basic facilities but thats all you need, great for kids and dogs, no stress, no fuss and kids had the best time. Pitches are large and well kept. Will definitely be back

I have a static caravan here and think the owners are lovely people. They are honest and helpful and keep the site very tidy. The site is well managed and quiet and a great place to relax and visit the market towns in North Yorkshire. There is no noisy clubhouse to disturb you, only peaceful riverside walks into the local village where there is an excellent pub with good food and ales. It is an easy ride into Thirsk and it's shops and pubs and the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are easily accessible. The site has a touring park and small children's play area and welcomes well behaved dogs. I would not want to be anywhere else.

We go nearly every weekend Stacey and Mark are lovely and always make us feel welcome the toilet and shower block isn't the lap of luxury but it's there to serve a purpose have a shower and go to the toilet. It is a big field that caters for a lot of tourers everyone is very friendly and you can go for walks through the fields next to sheep and bulls it's a beautiful place and my dog loves it....well done Stacey and Mark keep up the good work xx

Nice site in the countryside, we stayed in the touring section right near the cow fields, kids loved the cows coming up to the fence on the afternoons. Play park very dated so not much in the way of entertainment on site, no shop or club etc on site so if you want somewhere to go on a nighttime you must travel to nearby town/village, not a problem for us as we wanted a nice quiet break. Unfortunately there was a family over the fence in the static caravans which partied hard into the early hours, very loud and rowdy. Toilet block was clean and tidy but very dated and seemed to be in an old agricultural outbuilding, could not find any where to wash pots etc but didn't look beyond our field. Overall nice place, nice staff but very very basic.

What a lovely place to stay. We were welcomed warmly by the staff and the 'locals' were chatty and kind. Value for money and I cannot recommend the showers on site enough. It won't be our last visit.
