Description
Stockeld Park is one of Yorkshire’s best family attractions. The renowned Enchanted Forest is filled with magical interactive fun and is home to five fantastically themed adventure playgrounds. The different outdoor activities depend on the time of year and include the likes of buccaneer boats in the warmer months and ice skating in the winter!
The Playhive, our unique, fabulous indoor play centre is now open! It’s one of Europe’s largest and most original indoor play centres! Step into a brand new world of indoor adventure for the whole family. Let your imagination lead the way as you journey your way through four interconnected worlds of space, air, the jungle and sea. Such an great day out to see Santa and lights. So well organised and clean, could easily spend all day there, there's so much to do! Tickets are pricey but definitely worth it for a treat. The gift shop is also amazing full of good quality Christmas decorations
We visited for the Christmas lights/event. Plenty of parking to start, quickly in and found our way round nice and easy. Ice rink had plenty of space and lots of little parks for the kids to enjoy. Had good fun in the large indoor play area. Decent food options in the cafe which was reasonably priced. The Christmas light walk was lovely, with lots of interactive parts and then finally into the Christmas shop that had a decent amount of items (slightly expensive side). Overall would definitely recommend as a day out with the kids but as we went midweek can imagine it being chocca on a weekend
I recently visited Stockeld Park, and it turned out to be the perfect day out for families, especially those with young children. The park is full of creativity and imagination around every corner, offering a mix of fun, adventure, and beautiful surroundings. There’s so much to see and do — from the enchanting Enchanted Forest with its magical sculptures and themed trails, to the huge playground areas that kept the kids entertained for hours. The play zones are wonderfully designed, blending outdoor fun with artistic touches that make everything feel special. We also loved the seasonal activities, which really bring the place to life, whether it’s the winter skating rink or summer inflatables. Everything is well maintained and thoughtfully planned, making it easy to spend an entire day there without getting bored. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the café was great .
Great place for the family. We all had a great day. Just be aware the food halls do get very busy so be prepared to wait, or bring some snacks with you.
A fantastic place to visit if you have children, we've been with our 11 year old girl and 5 year old boy a few times, twice last summer and once for this Christmas 🎁 to see the lights, Santa and the enchanted forest! All good in both summer and winter to be perfectly honest, in spring/summer the place has amazing facilities for kids. So many options including the new indoor play area which is one of the best I've ever seen, the food inside there is also superb and very good value for your money 🤑 There is also great outdoor maze made with hedges that's pretty tricky to negotiate, even I got completely lost! Right now in December there's also a indoor ice skating rink, which is great but for me much too expensive, see what you think 🤔 The mini train is good and it follows the same route as the enchanted forest walk, perfect for resting those feet! There are so many little parks and wonders when you walk around the aforementioned enchanted forest, I would recommend getting there early in the morning On the way out there's a gift shop and restaurant, which is to be expected. The parking is ample with no issues with directions. All in all this place is a must visit!!
